| The Wilson Tennis Foundation is a non
profit organization begun in 1948 in Wilson, North Carolina. We are a USTA Community
Tennis Association whose goal is to support and promote tennis in the Wilson area.
We do this by helping to provide resources, information, and activities for the
community. We have provided financial support for the construction of the Barton
College Tennis Complex, raised thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society
and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through charity tournaments, published newsletters
and this website, conducted junior and NTRP tennis tournaments, held tennis clinics
for groups such as the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf, directed Doubles
Night, supported High School tennis and USA League Tennis, and presented annual
year end awards. In 1993 we were chosen the North Carolina and USTA Southern Section
Organization of the Year. |
